  Serial: A work designed as a work intended to be issued in successive parts bearing numerical or chronological designations and intended to be continued indefinitely, including:
  1. Periodicals
  2. Newspapers
  3. Annuals
• Form SE/Group
  Registration available for two or more issues of a serial published at weekly (or longer) intervals under the same title, provided the issues were published within a 90-day period during the same calendar year. Other conditions apply.
• Form SR with Instructions
  Published or Unpublished Sound Recordings: Works that result from the fixation of musical, spoken, or other sounds. This does not include audio portions of audiovisual works, such as a motion picture soundtrack, which are considered part of audiovisual works as a whole. This form should be used when the copyright claim is limited to the sound itself, or where the claimant is seeking simultaneous registration of the underlying work embodied in the recording.

  Published or Unpublished Nondramatic Literary Works, excluding periodicals or serials, including:
  1. Fiction
  2. Nonfiction
  3. Poetry
  4. Textbooks

• Form VA with Instructions
  Published or Unpublished Works of the Visual Arts, including pictorial, graphic, or sculptural works, including two-dimensional works of fine or graphic art, photographs, prints, maps, diagrams and models.
